Among the three competing architectural proposals, the design by Ruy Jervis d’Athouguia, Pedro Cid, and Alberto Pessoa was deemed the most fitting. Their vision, one of restrained grandeur and unified composition, ultimately defined the museum's architectural identity. A cadre of specialists across various disciplines collaborated under their guidance to bring this vision to life.
